So, I was scrolling my newsfeed on Facebook yesterday and came upon a post from Sauce & Bread Kitchen, the shop where my daughter works. Anne, one of the owners, had posted the video of the Obama Presidential Library announcement with the caption “Recognize any place or anyone in this most amazing announcement….”.
I started watching and then I shouted very loudly, using very bad words in my shock and surprise. Not only is my Big Kid in the background of a scene in the video, but she’s got some fabulous close-ups as well.
The Dollyrots have released the Lyric video for Homecoming.
Blue October has released their video for Sway, the title track to the latest album.
I’m sorry if it’s objectifying but this is the first moment when Justin looks at the camera. He has the most most amazing eyes. When he makes eye contact with you at a show, you feel it from the top of your head to the tip of your toes.
New video release from The Dollyrots for Bury Me in Ireland. I love this song and think it’s probably the catchiest one on the new album – Barefoot and Pregnant.
Blue October has released the lyric video for Put it In.
This is currently the catchiest song being played by my favorite local radio station – New Politics – Harlem. I can only imagine how rowdy one of their shows gets when this song is performed. It certainly makes me want to dance around and I’m a 44 yo mom of 3.
I love the Dollyrots. They make fun music. You can jump up and down to their stuff and it makes you happy.
They’ve just released the video for their song “Twist Me to the Left”. This song totally deserves to be a summer hit. Let us try our best to make it so.

So, first there was this – “The maple kind?”.
Now there’s this – “Dog wants a kitten.”
The midweek throwdown this week at Operation Write Home is to make Cards for Kids. I just found some super cute animal stamp sets on clearance at Michaels so decided to stamp a bunch of images and color them in.
Here’s my first critter –
Wausau Fleck cardstock. Pattern papers are from DCWV The Paper Stack. Alligator is from a Recollections set, colored with Crayola True to Life pencils. Sentiment is Studio G Lynette Anderson Taylor in Memento Tuxedo Black. Large Circle and Scallop Circle Shapeabilities Dies. Dimensional adhesive.
I used the handy dandy colored pencil tips from Sandy Allnock – baby oil will help to even out the blotchiness that results from colored pencils.
The hubster sent me a set list from one of the Monkees shows that’s already occurred.

The first thing that jumped out at me was “You Told Me”. Thought I’d go to youtube and find a video from the original show. HAH. I can do you one better – a video from their Escondido show on 11/8/12.
