Today’s card is a better version of yesterday’s – I swapped the order of the layers, and picked a different sentiment to pop.
Xerox Flecs, Core-dinations Black, TPC Class Act 2011, Memento Tuxedo Black. The precious.
Today’s card uses the other Fiskars stamp set that I found at TJ Maxx – Grateful. I loaded up a block with several different stamps and created a sentiment cluster. I stamped a single sentiment and popped it to add dimension.

I’ve been playing with my Silhouette today, trying to create a standard folding to go coffee cup card.
This was my first attempt – after cutting it I realized my proportions were off. It’s kinda small for Operation Write Home.
Xerox Flecs Cover, Graphic 45 Kraft, Wausau Bright White. Sentiment is Doodlebug and TPC in Memento Rich Cocoa.
Sending a box of cards for Operation Write Home to Sandy Allnock today. I’ve been sending cards for a year but this is the first time I’m sending directly to her, She Who is Known as Queen of Copics. I’d originally sent to Caro and then to Kris but now Sandy gets them all. I feel like I just got put into a new class with the hardest teacher. She is a card making phenomenon.
Not only does OWH send blank handmade cards to deployed peeps but they also include AnyHero Mail in every box – letters and cards filled with Thanks and encouragement to let them know that we are thinking of them and appreciate the work they do.
This is the design I used today – I made 11 of these.
Xerox Flecs Cover, Cloud Nine Design Weathered Wood in True Blue. Sentiment is 4 stamps from Doodlebug in Paris Dusk. I mounted them all on a block and stamped them at one time. I used fat dimensional squares to pop that layer.
**AnyHero Mail is a great project for schools, churches, Scouts etc. The big thing is NO GLITTER. For more info, please visit Operation Write Home.
I’m having loads of fun with my Silhouette Cameo. I love the fact that you can create your own files / designs with it. Because all the cards I make are for Operation Write Home, I make a lot of Thank You cards. I wanted a one piece sentiment that was big and bold and would be easy to adhere to a cardfront.
Voila, my very own design –
I might tweak it a bit to make the center bar a tad more narrow but I like the “oomph” of it.
Xerox Flecs Cover, Core’dinations blue, Pick Your Plum Washi.
Decided to try a new layout with the Silhouette – Thank You Card, which I set to cut 5.5″ x 4.25″. Super simple and easy to change the look by adding a different background paper – excellent for scraps.
Xerox Flecs Cover, Scrapbook Walls Denim Dot.
Today’s card is about as CAS as you can get –
TPC Tan Parchment. Pick Your Plum Washi in cream and rose. Sentiment is Doodlebug in Memento Rich Cocoa.
This is a Spring Break experiment. I challenged myself to use the same six design papers and the same sentiment on each of ten cards, giving each card an individual look.
Card 10 was created using short strips of paper with the ends cut into banners.
The papers are My Mind’s Eye Best of Damask. The sentiment is from Doodlebug. Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Wausau Fleck cardstock. Black from stash.
