This is a just found and just listed on Etsy piece of adorableness. Tiny flocked tabby cat is ready to pounce.
We brought a rescue kitten home on Saturday. She is adorable. As mentioned in the post just below this one, our dog was not appreciative of the new critter in the house. Morgan, who we had previously decided is part feline, due to her love of leaping onto narrow railings, looked like she was possessed whenever presented with the cat. You know how they always show demons on TVs and movies – with their eyes all black and unblinking? That was Morgan. It was kinda scary. (I’d read how there are some dogs who are too prey driven to deal with cats – that would be Morgan apparently.) Kitten is being returned to the rescue group today. She’s 9 weeks old and so freaking cute she’ll be in a new home before the week is out.
So, basically, I rented a cat for the weekend.
We adopted a shelter dog in September. She’s wonderful and we felt that she should have a friend. Decided to try a kitten. Hah. Morgan is a whiny crying mess. If I’m in a room with the kitten, she’s at the door, sounding like the most pitiful creature ever. If I hold the kitten, Morgan sniffs and licks the cat ferociously. I can’t tell if it’s a grooming thing or if she trying to moisten Boo up so she’s easier to eat.
Please let this craziness pass soon.
