It was only yesterday that I said I was Holiday carded out. What does Operation Write Home do? They pull me back in with a Tree Fold Tutorial.
I don’t have any double sided paper so I picked two complementary patterns, glued them together and then cut out my circle. The fun thing is that each circle you cut makes two trees. I made two nearly identical cards so that each pattern could be the primary one.
I used Wausau flecked cardstock for the base and sentiment. DCWV Christmas pack papers for the tree, Sizzix Sparkle 2 thincut for the star, EK tree border punch. Sentiment from computer in Alleycat ICG.
I’m attempting to participate in the Operation Write Home No Place like Home Card Drive. To do this, I have to submit a box of cards that are half holiday half general theme. I have plenty of the latter but not so many of the former. I’m working off the Midweek Throwdown Challenge – Red and Green idea. The sentiment so makes me think of Just Judy from Love Actually – “All I want for Christmas is you.”
Here are the cards I made last night –
White cardstock bases, printed paper from a DCWV Christmas pack, corner punch by Fiskars, embroidery floss, Wausau Fleck cardstock for the sentiment, texture fades folder from Sizzix and buttons from my ginormous button stash.
