So, that Kickstarter that I posted about in February? Got my candles.

A March for Our Lives

There’s a Prayer Candle for What Ails Us

I love Dan Sinker. His tweets are on point. His Says Who Podcast with Maureen Johnson has helped me navigate this sucktastic alternate timeline that we got thrown into. Now he’s throwing a weird wizardy spiritual thing onto the pile of things he does.

I’d like to present the Kickstarter for Pee Tape & Robert Mueller III Prayer candles. At this point in the game, I’m willing to try just about anything to get back to a sense of normalcy.

New Obama Foundation Video

Back in, wow, May of 2015, I posted of the near heart attack that I had when I discovered that my Big Kid was featured the Obama Foundation’s Library Announcement Video.

Imagine my surprise when, as I scrolled through Twitter a couple of weeks ago, I discovered another video had been posted and, once again, my Big Kid was featured. She’s in the screenshot of the video in the tweet and in a close-up later on.

Facts First

My husband worked at CNN at 2 different times for a total of 23 years. He works elsewhere now but is still a journalist and is proud of his time at the network.

Many of his friends still work there. Below is one’s response to 45’s Tweet (bottom of post).

26 years overseas
99 countries visited
Many Peace talks covered
Many Presidential overseas trips covered
Many happy joyous stories but…
Too many Protest marches covered
Too many terrorist events
Too many Hostile Environments and war zones
Too many bullets whizzed by
Too many Grad rockets and mortars flew overhead
Too much of my sweat in flak jackets
Too many refugees and internally displaced people filmed
Too much blood seen
Too many Mass graves filmed
Too many dead
Too many tears
Too much sadness
Too many injured colleagues
Too many hours away from my friends and loved ones covering news

But I am proud of my work with CNN and CNN International and I am proud of my colleagues.
And it always has been #factsfirst.
Even before there was a hashtag.
