Apple Cinnamon Cake


Today, I baked the first of what I’m sure will be many Apple Cinnamon Cakes I make this season. I love this recipe so much, I thought I’d share it –

Apple Cinnamon Cake

1 Box Spice or Yellow / White cake mix
1 Can (21 oz) Pie Filling – Apple, Apple Blend or Peach
3 eggs
Cinnamon Sugar

1. Heat oven to 350F
2. Blend cake mix, pie filling and eggs in bowl. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
3. Pour into a greased 13″ x 9″ pan or two greased 9″ round pans. Sprinkle the top liberally with cinnamon sugar.
4. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.


I personally prefer this with a spice cake. If you only have a white or yellow mix, you can make your own spice mix by adding 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon of allspice to the mix.
