After the Emmys were announced and there was all the uproar about Tatiana Maslany from Orphan Black not getting nominated, I decided to watch the show On Demand. I watched all 10 episodes over the period of about a day and a half.
Oh. Em. Gee. What an amazing show with a non typical storyline and wonderful cast of characters, most of them played by Tatiana, who should most definitely be nominated for an Emmy come next awards show season. (run on sentence, whew)
The one thing that astounds me, aside from her ability to master all these different people, is how the show is shot. Having two or three of her in a frame at once is pretty mindblowing (or, as John Fawcett, one of the creators of the series says “It’s a bit of a, um, uh, a mind screw.”
Here is an explanation of how they shoot these scenes.
