Yesterday was National Scrapbook Day. Operation Write Home, being the rebels that they are, had a Virtual Card Making Party.

Challenge #1 was for Our Daily Bread Design – Missing You.

Challenge #2 was at Paula’s Blog – Make a Kid’s card using a sketch.

I combined these into this –

To be honest, I studied the elements of Paula’s example and went to make my card – 1 vertical, 3 horizontal etc. Mine is a variation then of the sketch she used – OWH #28.

Wausau Fleck cardstock, TPC Color Connect Texture in Blue. DCWV Summer Stack. Zebra and brads are Recollections. Sentiment is Studio G. Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Challenge #3 was at Sandy Allnock’s blog – Romance / Love using a tutorial.

I used the handy dandy No Fail Ribbon Tutorial.

Wausau Fleck Cardstock. TPC Corduroy in black. B&W is Recollections. Lock and Keys are TPC Studio Vintage Keys. Love is Autumn Leaves Rhonna Farrer. Ribbon is Celebrate It. Memento Tuxedo Black. Fiskars Corner Punch.

  1. That first one is adorably whimsical! It caught my eye on the thumbnails and will make some child so happy! And the second one is lovely and a perfect use of ribbon.

  2. What a cute image for your kid’s card Kara and the sentiment has a fun ‘doodle-like’ feel to it too. I have to memorize that ‘no-fail ribbon technique’ once and for all too. Thanks for joining in on my VCMP challenge this weekend.
