General Cards for Boys

Standard

My scheduled cards for today work perfectly with the Shopping Our Stash Challenge for the Week – Suits Me to a T – use any two items that start with T. I used Twine. And it’s Turquoise. (If Turquoise Twine doesn’t work, my ink is Tuxedo Black.)

On Sunday, as I still had the paper out from the OWH Sketch Challenge 155, I decided I’d rather use up the leftover pieces than refile them with their pad.

As OWH President Sandy Allnock has put out a specific request for cards that Heroes can send home to kids, I decided the blues would make a great boy’s card. Started playing around with the pieces I had cut and realized I needed a bold layering color to make the cards pop. After looking at my solid color choices, decided Lime green was the way to go. As my original paper was from an 8×8 pad, I was able to make 3 cards from the leftovers of the 2 sheets I had.

Wausau Fleck cardstock front, green is from Core-dinations Minty fresh pack, patterns from DCWV The Stack. Sentiment is Studio G Lynette Anderson Taylor in Memento Tuxedo Black. Turquoise and white bakers twine from Pick Your Plum. Dot of Diamond Glaze over the knot of the bow to secure it.

These general layouts are great for using up papers you might either have alot of or aren’t terribly fond of.
