This is a continuation of Kara uses a pack of 6×6 paper to make cards. These cards are for Operation Write Home as they have a huge need for Love you, Miss you and Thank You cards. Here’s the first post in this series. My count to this point is 9. The pack of paper is Making Memories Boho Chic Olivia.
These are my second batch –
First, we have these – they’re a continuation of the layout that I did in Ivory –
Then I had a conundrum. You see how complementary the colors above are? All ivory and sagey green and boysenberry? The pack of paper also has this pattern –
It’s beautiful but it’s pink and black. It’s so very pink that my first thought was to play up the pink and layer it on white and then a pink base. A perfect card for a Hero to send to the girly girl in their life. Realized though that I shouldn’t be using the solid paper for this pack challenge.
I was flummoxed on how to use it with the other colors but then just bit the bullet and had at it. There are these, which are one offs.
And then we have these which are all the same sort of idea with different layouts.
For this group, I used white cardstock for the base. Tags are die cut with the Sizzix Scallop Tag Combo. Ties are embroidery floss.
This set has 10 cards which puts me up to 19 so far. I shall embrace the pink pattern with my next batch. I do love it – actually bought a pack of 12×12 sheets of it a few months after I found the packs. I think I planned on making tags with them for my Etsy jewelry shop but then never got around to it. I see a bunch of girly cards in my future.
