Collection of cards – Boho Chic

Standard

As all this card making is the fault of Leslie / aka @crookedstamper, I can blame these on her as well. She’d posted about using all of a 6×6 pack of paper to make a batch of cards. (FYI, she made 60. )

I have 6×6 packs of paper. I have several in fact. Doesn’t matter that up until a week ago I didn’t make cards. Don’t judge me…

I decided to try to tackle this. I’d read on Operation Write Home how they have a huge need for Love you, Miss you and Thank You cards. Decided this specific pack of paper would be good for all around use.

I started with these –

It was really hard to get all the intersections lined up so I only made the two. (I used a Fiskars corner punch on these.)

Then I did these.  I like the idea – I didn’t look for a sketch, just played around with placement til I found a layout I liked.

Here are the Miss you cards –

Here are the Love you cards –

For this group, I used Ivory Vellum Bristol as the card base. I lined them with heavyweight panel card in white. The pack of paper is Making Memories Boho Chic Olivia. Tags are die cut with the Sizzix Scallop Tag Combo.

Obviously I have a ways to go. I’m not a card making machine but it does get easier when you have a general idea what you want to do and can prep stuff ahead of time – like cutting tags, cutting paper into strips etc. This pad will keep me busy this week.

The bottom two pictures have cards that work with the Shopping Our Stash Challenge 68 this week – 3,2,1. I used 3 blocks of paper in the design, 2 layers on the tag and 1 sentiment. It’s almost like I planned it that way.
