OWH VCMP Challenges 8-10

Standard

This is a continuation of weekend cardmaking. Operation Write Home had a Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party. Every few hours, they posted a new challenge with a new theme. As I’m literally just starting out in this cardmaking thing, I figured this would be the easiest way to get going. I’m very good at following directions.

Challenge Eight was to make a sports themed card. I struggled with this initially as I couldn’t think of any sports related craft making stuff. Then I remembered the sample paper packs I’d gotten years ago through a fundraiser. Voila – found a paper with nothing but balls. Ahem.

I created the card using the following:
Orange base cardstock
Accent cardstock from scrap stash
Sentiment from computer
Curling Ribbon
Football from sample paper pack

Challenge nine was one where you had to make a card using a neglected crafting tool. I haven’t used my Sizzix Side-Kick in quite some time. I used it with my Box, Wavy 1 & 2 Sizzlits.

I created the card using the following:

Base cardstock in turquoise
Printed paper from Making Memories Simply Fabulous Pack.
Solid cardstock from scrap stash
Sentiment from computer

Challenge 10 was a challenge you to make a card that represents your state. I live in Maryland, like the challenge creator. I made a card with a blue crab.

I created the card using the following:
Blue base cardstock with grey accents
Image and sentiment from computer
Colored with Crayola Pencil
